1. Process Work Rubric — Know Before You Go

  1. 20–18 pts: All in-class process work completed; responses thoughtful and thorough. Research Paper Presentation prepared before class; slides eye-catching, clear, not text-heavy; clear command of the material.
  2. 17–16 pts: Most process work completed; effort visible and responses solid. Presentation prepared; slides mostly clear; may have excess text but student understands the material.
  3. 15–14 pts: Engagement with process work is inconsistent; completed activities are mostly thoughtful. Presentation slides not eye-catching; may not have been prepared before class.
  4. 13–12 pts: Missed most process work; engagement quite low; completed something. Presentation submitted and delivered but does not follow the assignment directions; understanding of material weak.
  5. 0 pts: No substantial effort in process work. Did not submit or present the Research Paper slideshow.
Turn in / bring: Reference only — no submission. Your holistic process-work score is determined by Prof. Upchurch at semester's end.
